Mantra Sarong - Om Namah Shivaya - White
Our mantra sarongs are sourced from a small family run business from Pushkar in India. They are made from Rayon, a material similar to cotton made from natural sources such as wood & agricultural products.
Mantras are phrases of words & syllables recited over & over again as an aid of concentration on a beneficial state of mind & in order to protect the mind from negative states. The Sanskrit word Mantra translates into Man = Mind & Tra = tool. Mantras are mainly used in Hindu & Buddhist cultures but it is possible to create a mantra in any language as a mantra really is just a phrase that when repeated brings the mind into a state of peace.
Our mantra sarongs have the mantra Om Namah Shivaya printed on them.
Om Namah Shivaya (Sanskrit: ॐ नमः शिबय) is a beautiful and beloved prayer/mantra that can be chanted or sung. This popular prayer in India means “my salutations to Shiva; the auspicious and gracious one”. It is also perceived to mean, “I bow to Shiva" or "adoration to Shiva”. This mantra is thousands of years old and is mentioned in the Vedas.
In yoga, this mantra is chanted during meditation in order to help realize the inner Self and possesses the qualities of prayer, divine love, grace, truth and blissfulness.
The Mantra Om Namah Shivaya is infused with positive energy and assists in dispelling negativity. It is able to provide focus for your life path and give direction. It has the power to still a restless mind & bring stability & peace.
